This gorgeous, retro Hartmann suitcase is in excellent condition, and has many years & many miles left to travel with its lucky new owner.
The exterior's classic brown leather is both casual and sophisticated, and the interior is lined with a beautiful paisley print, adding to its overall vintage feel. Also included in a small matching zipper bag for toiletries or other small items.
Measuring at 26" x 19.5" x 8", this is perfect for any traveler looking to add some vintage charm to their luggage collection.
Features semi-hard casing for great durability. Haw two locking latch mechanisms. Unfortunately, the keys were lost before I got the suitcase. The Hartmann plaque under the handle slides to the side, which then reveals "OPEN", and allows the suitcase to open after both latches have been opened.
This is also the handiest closing suitcase I have ever packed! Once the top has been closed properly, the left & right latch automatically switch closed, which holds the suitcase securely shut. No more sitting on your suitcase trying to force it closed!! This is a really nice convenience I never knew I was missing! After the latches are closed, there are 2 leather belt/straps that snap closed on each end which conceals the latches.
I have seen Hartmann replacement keys available for purchase online, but I have not really looked into them at all.
There may be some very light scuffs or scratches, but I tried my best to show every defect or flaw in the photos. There weren't many things to point out on this item though, because it really is in excellent condition, especially considering its age.
The previous owner's address is filled in on the address tag, which is attached to the liner. I marked this info out (red blue) in the photos, but not on the actual suitcase.
It is a truly unique and timeless piece. This suitcase would make a great addition to any vintage luggage or travel collection.
